The preparations for the rescue operation in the Kaliningrad Sea Channel began at 10a.m., and the lifting operation proper commenced at 17.15, told SeaNews the Kaliningrad maritime rescue coordination center. At 18.45 September 5 the fishing cutter "Yunga" that sank in the channel after colliding with a dry cargo freighter was lifted. A floating crane belonging to LUKoil-Kaliningradmorneft Ltd., the operator of the Kaliningrad oil terminal, was deployed in the operation. 19.45 September 5 the ship traffic in the channel was resumed by the m/v "Atlet". |
