| Evergreen starts new intra-Asian service |

MARKING the demise of sister company Uniglory Marine Corporation as a liner, Evergreen Marine has launched a raft of intra-Asian services. The new services started on Sunday and cover East Asia and between East Asia and the Middle East, Uniglory Marine Corporation, will soon merge with Evergreen International Storage and Transport Corporation (EIST). Initially, it is expected that the new Evergreen services will closely mirror those currently provided by Uniglory but Arnold Wang, president of EMC, said that his company will carry out detailed studies to establish whether improvements can be made. In particular, steps will be taken to achieve greater synergy between the new services and the existing global services of Evergreen. |
